So I was zapping through Netflix the other dayand looking at the current list of movies they offer, one thing struck me: they are not only programming a bunch of old movies and series, the current offer looks also as if we’re back in the midst of the Cold War in the sixties: Once again the Russians are the villains, be it in a series like ANNA ( second N inverted) or movies like The Red Sparrow or Ghost Protocol in the Mission Impossible series of films:it certainly looks as if the general public needs another nudge in the eye of the blob towards an reinforced enemy image of the Russians. Is it coincidence or a strategy?
